Automatically filter obscene and swear words.

I would like to suggest the admin to try filtering obscene language and swear words automatically. This saves the admin/s of this forums unnecessary work. I think, it can be done by automatically scanning a post for these shameful words as soon as "submit" is pressed.

I think that it is already being done. I think was a default option but I am not sure what all words are filtered. I would need to test to be sure though. Thank you for the suggestion Ed. I will check to be sure this option is on.

Apart from filtering whole obscene and swear words, the filter should also be able to filter them in short form i.e. when an asterisk is used etc.

I am trying to help you in this regard, because I know, you want to have a forum that disapproves of these words.

it turns out that I have to enter each word as there were no words in the list by default. Anyway this may take a while but I have the most common ones taken care of at the moment.

You are correct Ed, as a Christian I do not use these words and I do find them offensive at times as well as unnecessary to express ones self.
